Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Look for models that allow you to select between several modes, utilize their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction, which is a handy feature for homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than other models However, it tends to leave a large space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

Its app has a streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy to use for both new and experienced users.
