WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade item will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are full of high-quality gear.
